Expos Win 10-0

Bat Warmer Proves Insufficient for #6

Updated Sunday June 16, 2019 by Glen Conley.

On a beauty Friday night in June, Chris Tibbles pitched a surgical 7 innings while the Expos offensive support finally arrived for the embattled Tibbs.  Fred Tramble had a solid game at third making some key plays throughout the game helping keep the Firebirds off the scoreboard.

While the win lifted the dark cloud over most of the player's heads, rookie Corey Caswell was near inconsolable over the loss of his first wood bat, broken on a swing in the middle innings.  But the newest Expo showed his grit, quickly bouncing back during the postgame before purchasing two new sticks early Saturday morning.  Upon inspection of the newest purchases, the team has already set up a GoFundMe page for Caswell's soon to be needed 4th bat of the season.
