Running On Empty

A Marathon Evening for the Yankees and Expos

Updated Wednesday June 12, 2019 by Glen Conley.

The back end of a Saturday night doubleheader proved the Expos had just enough left in the tank to bounce back from a game one 8-5 loss.  With both squads sucking on fumes, the Expo team was able to string together enough early hits to go ahead and support Russ Smithson who picked up his second win of the season.

Post game, players from both teams held an impromptu town hall meeting in the parking lot to discuss the merits of unionizing to ensure the league, never...ever...ever again schedules a doubleheader.
